Until I was about 17 I had never heard hotdog in a croissant called a pig in a blanket. To me it was always what most midwesterners called a cabbage roll. Freaking Poles, man.

One of the things I miss about living in Los Angeles is the street vendor Danger Dogs. They usually throw enough onions and peppers on top to make it seem like you’re getting a salad as well.

It’s a bastardized version of a Sonoran dog. I really need to seek out the original, but being stuck out her in the Midwest it's hard to find authentic Mexican specialties like that. I guess I'll have to track one down the next time I'm back home.
